मरियेचे अति पवित्र नाम
The Feast of the Most Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary is an optional memorial celebrated in the liturgical calendar of the Catholic Church on 12 September. It has been a universal Roman Rite feast since 1684, when Pope Innocent XI included it in the General Roman Calendar to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Vienna in 1683.[1] It was removed from the Church calendar in the liturgical reform following Vatican II but restored by Pope John Paul II in 2002, along with the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus.
प्रभू येशूमध्येच सर्व ज्ञान, सामर्थ्य व शहाणपणाची परिपूर्णता आहे. त्या प्रभूला आपण शरण जाऊ या. त्याच्या विपुल वचनांद्वारे आपण आपले जीवन समृद्ध बनवू या व संत पौलाप्रमाणे सुवार्ता प्रसार करण्यास प्रेरणा मागू या.

देव आपला तारणारा आणि ख्रिस्त येशू आपली आशा ह्याच्या आज्ञेने ख्रिस्त येशूचा प्रेषित पौल ह्याच्याकडूनः विश्वासातील माझा सुपुत्र तिमथी ह्याला, देवपिता आणि ख्रिस्त येशू आपला प्रभू ह्यांच्यापासून कृपा, दया आणि शांती असो. ज्याने मला शक्ती दिली त्या आपल्या प्रभू ख्रिस्त येशूचे मी आभार मानतो, कारण मी जो पूर्वी निंदक, छळ करणारा, आणि जुलमी होतो त्या मला त्याने विश्वासू मानून आपल्या सेवेकरिता ठेवले. मी असा होतो तरी मी जे केले ते न समजून अविश्वासामुळे केले, म्हणून माझ्यावर दया केली. ख्रिस्त येशूमधील विश्वास आणि प्रीती ह्यांसह आपल्या प्रभूची कृपा माझ्यावर अगाध झाली.

First Timothy 1: 1-2, 12-14
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the commandment of God our Saviour, and of Christ Jesus our hope: To Timothy, his beloved son in faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and from Christ Jesus our Lord. I give thanks who hath strengthened me, even to Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he hath counted me faithful, putting me in the ministry; Who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

तुझ्याशिवाय मला सुख नाही.

“आंधळाच आंधळ्याला वाट दाखवून नेऊ शकतो काय ? "
येशूने आपल्या शिष्यांना दाखला दिला की, “आंधळाच आंधळ्याला वाट दाखवून नेऊ शकतो काय? दोघेही खाचेत पडतील की नाही ? शिष्य गुरुपेक्षा श्रेष्ठ नाही, पूर्ण झालेला प्रत्येक शिष्य आपल्या गुरुसारखा होईल. तू आपल्या डोळ्यांतले मुसळ ध्यानात न आणता आपल्या भावाच्या डोळ्यांतले कुसळ का पाहतोस? अथवा तू आपल्या डोळ्यांतले मुसळ न पाहता आपल्या भावाला कसे म्हणशील की, भाऊ, तुझ्या डोळ्यांतले कुसळ मला काढू दे ? अरे ढोंग्या, पहिल्याने स्वतःच्या डोळ्यांतले मुसळ काढून टाक, म्हणजे तुझ्या भावाच्या डोळ्यांतले कुसळ काढण्यास तुला स्पष्ट दिसेल."

And he spoke also to them a similitude: Can the blind lead the blind? do they not both fall into the ditch? The disciple is not above his master: but every one shall be perfect, if he be as his master. And why seest thou the mote in thy brother’s eye: but the beam that is in thy own eye thou considerest not? Or how canst thou say to thy brother: Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye, when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye? Hypocrite, cast first the beam out of thy own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from thy brother’s eye.

चिंतन:
मरियेचे नाव हे सर्व नावांपेक्षा श्रेष्ठ, कानाला मधुर, हृदयाला गोड आणि ओठांना प्रिय असे आहे असे उद्गार पादुआचा संत अंतोनी ह्यांनी काढलेले आहेत. ८ सप्टेंबर रोजी आपण पवित्र मरियेचा जन्मदिन साजरा केला. आज ख्रिस्तसभा तिच्या पवित्र नावाची स्मृती साजरी करीत आहे. प्रभूच्या कृपेने ओतप्रोत भरलेली, साक्षात देवाचे मंदिर बनलेली, सर्व स्त्रियांमध्ये धन्य असलेली ही देवाची माता सदैव आपल्यासाठी मध्यस्थी करीत असते. आयुष्यभर तिचे नाव घेणाऱ्यांसाठी ती मरणाच्या वेळेस प्रभूकडे खास विनंती करते. तिचे नाव ज्याच्या ओठांवर असते ती व्यक्ती दिवसेंदिवस आपल्या श्रद्धेमध्ये वाढत असते. येशूचे नाव ऐकणारी जगातील पहिले स्त्री मरिया होती. त्यामुळे अतिपवित्र साक्रामेंताच्या वेळी येशूच्या पवित्र नावाबरोबरच अतिपवित्र मरिया थोर देवमाता हिला धन्य म्हटले जाते. मरियेचे नाव ओठांवर असणारा मनुष्य दुसऱ्यांचे दोष काढीत नाही तर स्वतःच्या दोषांवर आत्मचिंतन करीत अध्यात्मात वाढत जातो. पवित्र मरियेचे नाव घेतल्याने मला कोणकोणते लाभ झालेले आहेत? ह्या नावाचा प्रसार करण्यासाठी मला आणखी काय काय करता येईल?
प्रार्थना : हे प्रभू येशू, आमच्या सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्गदर्शका, तुझ्या वचनानुसार जीवन जगण्यास प्रेरणा व शक्ती दे, आमेन.
