आपण सर्वजण ख्रिस्ताच्या पुनरुत्थानाचे साक्षीदार बनलो आहोत.
स्नानसंस्काराद्वारे पुनरुत्थित ख्रिस्ताची कृपा आपल्याला मिळाली आहे. त्याच्यासुवार्तेचे साक्षीदार बनण्यास ख्रिस्तसभा आज आपल्याला पाचारण करीत आहे. प्रभू येशूने आपल्या प्रत्येकाला आवाहन केले आहे की, "सर्व जगात जाऊन संपूर्ण सृष्टीला सुवार्तेची घोषणा करा” (मार्क १६: १५). आपल्या प्रत्येकामध्ये पुनरुत्थित ख्रिस्ताचे चैतन्य संचारावे, आपल्या शब्दाद्वारे व कृतीद्वारे ख्रिस्त आपल्या जीवनातून प्रतिबिंबीत व्हावा म्हणून आपण प्रयत्नशील बनू या

“ह्या येशूला देवाने उठवले ह्याविषयी आम्ही सर्व साक्षी आहो."
पेत्र अकरा प्रेषितांबरोबर उभा राहून त्यांना मोठ्याने म्हणाला, "अहो इस्राएल लोकांनो, ह्या गोष्टी ऐका. नाझरेथकर येशूच्याद्वारे देवाने जी महत्कृत्ये, अद्भुते आणि चिन्हे तुम्हांला दाखवली त्यांची तुम्हाला माहिती आहे, त्यावरून देवाने तुम्हांकरिता पाठवलेला असा तो मनुष्य होता. तो येशू देवाच्या ठाम संकल्पानुसार व पूर्वज्ञानानुसार तुमच्या स्वाधीन झाल्यावर तुम्ही त्याला धरून अधर्म्याच्या हातांनी क्रुसावर खिळून मारले. त्याला देवाने मरणाच्या वेदनांपासून सोडवून उठवले, कारण त्याला मरणाच्या स्वाधीन राहणे अशक्य होते. दावीद त्याच्याविषयी असे म्हणतो, "मी परमेश्वराला आपणांपुढे नित्य पाहिले आहे, मी ढळू नये म्हणून तो माझ्या उजवीकडे आहे, ह्यास्तव माझे हृदय आनंदित व माझी जीभ उल्हासित झाली, आणखी माझा देहही आशेवर राहील. कारण तू माझा जीव अधोलोकात राहू देणार नाहीस व आपल्या पवित्र पुरुषाला कुजण्याचा अनुभव येऊ देणार नाहीस. जीवनाचे मार्ग तू मला कळवले आहेत. 'तू तू आपल्या समक्षतेने मला हर्षभरित करशील."
बंधुजनहो, कुलाधिपती दावीद ह्याच्याविषयी मी तुम्हांबरोबर प्रशस्तपणे बोलतो. तो मरण पावला, पुरला गेला आणि त्याची कबर आजपर्यंत आपल्यामध्ये आहे. तो संदेष्टा होता आणि त्याला ठाऊक होते की, देव शपथ वाहून त्याला म्हणाला होता की, तुझ्या संतानातील एकाला तुझ्या राजासनावर बसवीन. ह्यांचे पूर्वज्ञान असल्यामुळे तो ख्रिस्ताच्या पुनरुत्थानाविषयी असे बोलला की, "त्याला अधोलोकांत सोडून दिले नाही व त्याच्या देहाला कुजण्याचा अनुभव आला नाही. ह्या येशूला देवाने उठवले ह्याविषयी आम्ही सर्व साक्षी आहो."

First Reading :Acts 2:14, 22-33
On the day of Pentecost, Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: "Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know - this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. For David says concerning him, 'I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your
presence.' Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing.This is the word of God

शुभवर्तमान मत्तय २८:८-१
वाचक :मत्तयलिखित पवित्र शुभवर्तमानातून घेतलेले वाचन
"जा व माझ्या भावांना सांगा की, त्यांनी गालिलात जावे, तेथे मी त्यांच्या दृष्टीस पडेन."
त्या स्त्रिया भीतीने व हर्षातिशयाने कबरीपासून लवकर निघून त्याच्या शिष्यांना हे वर्तमान सांगायला धावत गेल्या. मग पाहा, येशू त्यांना भेटून म्हणाला, "कल्याण असो!" त्यांनी जवळ जाऊन त्याचे चरण धरून त्याला नमन केले. तेव्हा येशूने त्यांना म्हटले, "भिऊ नका, जा, माझ्या भावांना सांगा की, त्यांनी गालिलात जावे, तेथे मी त्यांच्या दृष्टीस पडेन."
त्या जात असता, पाहा, पहारेकऱ्यातील कित्येकांनी नगरात जाऊन झालेले सर्व वर्तमान मुख्य याजकांना सांगितले. तेव्हा त्यांनी व वडिलांनी मिळून मसलत केली आणि शिपायांना पुष्कळ पैसे देऊन सांगितले की, "आम्ही झोपेत असताना त्याच्या शिष्यांनी रात्री येऊन त्याला चोरून नेले, असे म्हणा आणि ही गोष्ट सुभेदाराच्या कानावर गेली तर आम्ही त्याची समजूत घालून तुम्हांला निर्धास्त करु" मग त्यांनी पैसे घेऊन शिकवल्याप्रमाणे केले आणि ही जी गोष्ट यहुदी लोकांमध्ये पसरविण्यात आली, ती आजपर्यंत चालू आहे.
प्रभूचे हे शुभवर्तमान

Matthew 28:8-15
At that time: The women departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them and said, "Greetings! And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid: go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me." While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers and said, "Tell people, 'His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep. And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ .
चिंतन: इस्टरचा आनंद आजच्या शुभवर्तमानात सुरूवातीला अगदी चांगल्याप्रकारे टिपला गेलेला आहे. विस्मय आणि हर्षाने भरलेल्या स्त्रिया कबरेपासून त्वरीत दूर आल्या आणि शिष्यांना खबर सांगण्यासाठी धावल्या आणि त्यांनी इस्टर संदेशाचे सत्य, आशेचा संदेश, मृत्यूवर जीवनाचा विजय, द्वेषावर प्रेम व पाप्यांवरील कृपेची घोषणा केली. त्यामुळे इस्टर ही एक अशी मेजवानी आहे की आपल्याला मोठ्या आश्चर्याने आणि आनंदाने भरते. कारण ती आपल्याला सांगते की, देवाचे प्रेम मानवी पापापेक्षा अधिक बलवान आहे आणि मृत्यपेक्षा देवाने दिलेले मानवी जीवनाचे दान अधिक शक्तीशाली आहे. इस्टर आपल्याला हे देखील सांगतो की आपण जीवनात एकटे चालत नाहीत तर संजीवन झालेला प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त आपल्यापुढे चालतो. मात्र जे इस्टर आणि त्याचा अर्थ नाकारण्याचा प्रयत्न करतील ते मुख्य याजक व वडीलधाऱ्यांप्रमाणे खोट्या गोष्टी रचतील व पहारेकऱ्यांप्रमाणे सत्य दडविण्याचा प्रयत्न करताना दिसतील. मला पुनरूत्थानाची सुवार्ता कळलेली आहे का? मी इस्टरचे सत्य पसरवितो की ते दडवून टाकण्याचा प्रयत्न करतो ?
प्रार्थना : हे प्रभू, तुझी वचने आत्मसात करण्यास व तुझ्या सुवार्तेचे साक्षीदार बनण्यास आम्हाला कृपा दे, आमेन.
