एखाद्या गोष्टीचा सार्वकालिक जीवनासाठी मला काय लाभ होणार असा प्रश्न आपण सतत आपल्या मनाला विचारला पाहिजे. संत वॉल्थेऊफ
.
धीर धरा, मी आहे, भिऊ नका.'
ह्याचाच अर्थ आपण सर्वदा आपल्या सोबत प्रभू येशूचे आस्तीत्व जाणून ते अनुभवायला शिकले पाहिजे. प्रभू येशू सदैव आपल्याला सर्व अनिष्टांपासून सोडवू इच्छित आहे. प्रभूवरील अशा स्थिर विश्वासामुळे आपल्याही जीवनात चमत्कार घडू शकतो. आपल्या जीवनातील प्रभू येशूचे अस्तित्व अनुभवण्यासाठी आणि प्रभूवरील विश्वासात दृढबनण्यासाठी आपण प्रेरणा मागू या.
पहिले वाचन : गणना १२:१-१३

"मोशेसारखा दुसरा संदेष्टा आजपर्यंत जन्मला नाही; तर माझा सेवक मोशे ह्याच्याविरुद्ध बोलायला तुम्हाला भीती कशी नाही वाटली ?"
मोशेने कुशी लोकांतली एक स्त्री बायको केल्यामुळे मिर्याम आणि अहरोन त्याच्याविरुद्ध बोलू लागले. ते म्हणाले, त्याने कुशी लोकांतली स्त्री बायको करून घेतली आहे; ते म्हणाले, परमेश्वर केवळ मोशेशीच बोलला आहे काय ? आमच्याशी पण नाही का बोलला?" परमेश्वराने ते ऐकले. मोशे हा पुरुष तर भूतलावरील सर्व मनुष्यांपेक्षा नम्र होता. मोशे, अहरोन आणि मिर्याम ह्यांना परमेश्वर अचानक म्हणाला, “तुम्ही तिघे दर्शन मंडपाकडे या." तेव्हा ते तिघे तिकडे गेले. परमेश्वर मेघस्तंभात उतरून तंबूच्या दारापाशी उभा राहिला. त्याने अहरोन आणि मिर्याम ह्यांना बोलावले; तेव्हा ते दोघे पुढे गेले. परमेश्वर त्यांना म्हणाला, "माझे शब्द ऐका; तुमच्यामध्ये कोणी संदेष्टा असला तर मी त्याला दृष्टान्तात प्रकट होत असतो आणि स्वप्नात त्याच्याशी भाषण करीत असतो. पण माझा सेवक मोशे ह्याच्या बाबतीत तसे नाही. माझ्या सर्व घराण्यात तो विश्वासू आहे. मी त्याच्याशी स्पष्टपणे समोरासमोर बोलत असतो. गूढ अर्थाने बोलत नसतो; परमेश्वराचे स्वरूप तो पाहत असतो. तर माझा सेवक मोशे ह्याच्याविरूद्ध बोलायला तुम्हाला भीती कशी नाही वाटली ?" परमेश्वराचा क्रोध त्याच्यावर भडकला आणि तो तेथून निघून गेला; तंबूवरून मेघ निघून गेला तो इकडे मिर्याम कोडाने बर्फासारखी पांढरी झाली. अहरोनने मिर्यामकडे फिरून पाहिले तो ती कोडी बनली आहे असे त्याला दिसले. तेव्हा अहरोन मोशेला म्हणाला, "माझ्या प्रभो, आम्ही मूर्खपणाने वागून पाप केले. त्याचा दोष आमच्यावर ठेवू नकोस. कोणी आपल्या आईच्या उदरातून अर्धे शरीर नष्ट झालेला असा मेलेलाच बाहेर पडतो, त्याच्यासारखी ही मृतवत होऊ नये,” मग मोशेने परमेश्वराचा धावा केला की, "हे देवा, कृपा करून हिला बरे कर.'

First Reading :Numbers 12:1-13
In those days: Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. And they said, "Has the Lord indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?" And the Lord heard it. Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. And suddenly the Lord said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting." And the three of them came out. And the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and he departed. When the cloud removed from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, like snow. And Aaron turned towards Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. And Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord, do not punish us because we have done foolishly and have sinned. Let her not be as one dead, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother's womb." And Moses cried to the Lord, "O God, please heal her - please."

१) हे देवा, तू आपल्या वात्सल्याला अनुसरून
माझ्यावर कृपा कर,
तू आपल्या विपुल करुणेला अनुसरून
माझे अपराध काढून टाक.
मला धुऊन माझा दोष पूर्णपणे काढून टाक,
माझे पाप दूर करून मला निर्मळ कर.
२) कारण मी आपले अपराध जाणून आहे;
माझे पाप माझ्यापुढे नित्य आहे.
तुझ्याविरुद्ध, तुझ्याविरुद्ध मी पाप आहे;
तुझ्या दृष्टीने जे वाईट ते मी केले आहे.
३) म्हणून तू बोलशील तेव्हा न्यायी ठरशील

तू मला आपल्यापुढून घालवून देऊ नकोस
आणि आपला पवित्र आत्मा माझ्यामधून काढून घेऊ नकोस.

"पाण्यावरून आपणाकडे येण्यास मला सांगा."
'मी लोकसमुदायाला निरोप देत आहे तो तुम्ही तारवात बसून माझ्यापुढे पलीकडे जा, असे म्हणून येशूने लागलेच शिष्यांना पाठवून दिले; मग लोकसमुदायांना निरोप दिल्यावर तो प्रार्थना करायला डोंगरावर एकान्ती गेला आणि रात्रभरही तो तेथे एकटा होता. इकडे वारा तोंडचा असल्यामुळे किनाऱ्यापासून बऱ्याच अंतरावर तारू लाटांनी हैराण झालेले होते. तेव्हा रात्रीच्या चवथ्या प्रहरी त्याला समुद्रावरून चालत त्यांच्याकडे आला. शिष्य त्याला समुद्रावरून चालताना पाहून ते घाबरून गेले. ते भिऊन ओरडले. “भूत आहे" परंतु येशू त्यांना लागलीच म्हणाला, “धीर धरा, मी आहे; भिऊ नका.”तेव्हा पेत्रने उत्तर दिले, “प्रभुजी, आपण असाल तर पाण्यावरून आपणाकडे येण्यास मला सांगा." त्याने म्हटले, “ये.” तेव्हा पेत्र येशूकडे जाण्यासाठी तारवातून उतरून पाण्यावरून चालू लागला; परंतु वारा पाहून तो भ्याला आणि बुडू लागला असता ओरडून म्हणाला, “प्रभुजी, मला वाचवा.” येशूने तत्क्षणी हात पुढे करून त्याला धरले आणि म्हटले, “अरे अल्पविश्वासी, तू संशय का धरलास?" मग ते तारवात चढल्यावर वारा पडला. तेव्हा जे तारवात होते ते त्याच्या पाया पडून म्हणाले, “आपण खरोखर देवाचे पुत्र आहा.'नंतर ते पलीकडे जाऊन गनेसरेताच्या भागात गेले आणि तेथल्या लोकांनी त्याला ओळखून आपल्या आसपासच्या अवघ्या प्रातांत माणसे पाठवून सर्व दुखणाइतांना त्याच्याकडे आणले आणि केवळ आपल्या वस्त्राच्या गोंड्यास आम्हांला स्पर्श करू द्या, अशी त्यांनी त्याला विनंती केली; तेव्हा जितक्यांनी त्याला विनंती केली; आणि जितक्यांनी त्याला स्पर्श केला तितके बरे झाले.

And forthwith Jesus obliged his disciples to go up into the boat, and to go before him over the water, till he dismissed the people. And having dismissed the multitude, he went into a mountain alone to pray. And when it was evening, he was there alone. But the boat in the midst of the sea was tossed with the waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night, he came to them walking upon the sea. And they seeing him walk upon the sea, were troubled, saying: It is an apparition. And they cried out for fear. And immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying: Be of good heart: it is I, fear ye not. And Peter making answer, said: Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee upon the waters. And he said: Come. And Peter going down out of the boat, walked upon the water to come to Jesus. But seeing the wind strong, he was afraid: and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying: Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretching forth his hand took hold of him, and said to him: O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt? And when they were come up into the boat, the wind ceased. And they that were in the boat came and adored him, saying: Indeed thou art the Son of God. And having passed the water, they came into the country of Genesar. And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent into all that country, and brought to him all that were diseased. And they besought him that they might touch but the hem of his garment. And as many as touched, were made whole.

At that time: Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat." And he called the people to him and said to them, "Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person." Then the disciples came and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?" He answered, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit."

चिंतन:
पीटर येशूचे अनुकरण करायचे धाडस करतो. येशूप्रमाणे तो पाण्यावरून चालू लागतो, श्रद्धेने चालू लागतो; येशूच्या नजरेला नजर भिडवून चालतो तोवर तो पाण्यावर चालतो; परंतु उसळणाऱ्या लाटांकडे / संकटांकडे /धोक्यांकडे त्याचे लक्ष जाते आणि तो गांगरतो, डगमगतो, भितो, बुडू लागतो आणि "प्रभो, मला वाचवा" ह्या आर्जवाद्वारे तो वाचतो. प्रभू येशू त्याला वाचवतो. पैलतिरी पोहचल्यावर लोक येशूची वाट पाहत असतात हे अत्यंत बोलके चित्र आहे. येशूवरील श्रद्धेचे ते स्पष्ट चिन्ह आहे. येशूचा त्यांना दिव्य स्पर्श हवा होता. त्यांना बरे व्हायचे होते आणि त्यांच्या श्रद्धेमुळे येशू त्यांना बरे करून त्यांचे मूळ दैवी स्वरूप मिळवून देऊ शकेल अशी त्यांची बालंबाल खात्री होती आणि नेमके तेच घडते. लोकांच्या दृढ श्रद्धेमुळे येशू त्यांना बरे करतो आणि त्यांनी मागितले नाही ते पण देतो. शारीरिक, भावनिक व आध्यात्मिक आरोग्य... आपण येशूच्या नजरेला नजर भिडवून पुढे जात आहोत का?
प्रार्थना :हे प्रभू येशू, विश्वासाने तुला तारणारा म्हणून स्वीकारण्यास व सुवार्ता पसरविण्यास प्रेरणा दे, आमेन.
