आत्यंतिक तळमळीने केलेल्या प्रार्थनेविना केवळ बुद्धीच्या जोरावर केलेला विचार ही मेंदूची शुष्क करामत वा कसरत ठरते. जशी वाऱ्याने एखादी मेणबत्ती विझावी तसे नम्र, शांत अशा आत्मिक प्रार्थनेने ज्ञानाचा गर्वही नाहीसा होतो. -संत जॉन दमासिन
सात्विक म्हणजेच देवावर विश्वास ठेवणारे, देवाची आदरयुक्त भीती बाळगणारे व देवाच्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे आचरण करणारी माणसे स्वर्गराज्याचे वारस बनतील.
प्रभू येशूच्या वचनात आपल्या सर्वांच्या जीवनाचे मर्म आणि परमेश्वराच्या कृपेचे सामर्थ्य सामावलेले आहे. प्रभूची वचने आपल्याला शहाणपण आणि सुज्ञता शिकवतात.
ह्या आगमनकाळात विशेष रितीने आपण बायबल वाचन व त्यावरील मनन चिंतन ह्यासाठी वेळ काढू या. आपले वैयक्तिक, कौटुंबिक आणि सामुहिक जीवन देवाच्या वचनावर उभारलेले असावे म्हणून देवाच्या दृष्टीने सुज्ञ बनू या.

“सत्याचे पालन करणाऱ्या धार्मिक राष्ट्राचा उदय होवो."
यहुदी देशात हे गीत गातील. आमचे नगर तटबंदी केलेले आहे. तारण हेच त्याचे कोट आणि तट नेमले आहेत. वेशी उघडा म्हणजे सत्याचे पालन करणारे धार्मिक राष्ट्र आत येईल. ज्याचे मन तुझ्या ठायी स्थिर झाले आहे त्याला तू पूर्ण शांती देतोस, कारण त्याचा भाव तुझ्यावर असतो. परमेश्वरावर सर्वकाळ भाव ठेवा, कारण प्रभू परमेश्वर हा सनातन आश्रयदुर्ग आहे. उच्चस्थळी राहणाऱ्यांना त्याने खाली आणले आहे. त्याने उच्च नगर पाडून टाकले आहे, जमीनदोस्त केले आहे, धुळीला मिळवले आहे. नगर पायांखाली तुडवले जात आहे. गरिबांचे पाय, दीनांची पावलेदेखील त्या नगराला तुडवत आहेत.

In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; he sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in. You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord for ever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. For he has humbled the inhabitants of the height, the lofty city. He lays it low, lays it low to the ground, casts it to the dust. The foot tramples it, the feet of the poor, the steps of the needy."

त्याचे वात्सल्य अनंत आहे.
माणसाच्या भरवंशावर राहण्यापेक्षा
प्रभूला शरण जाणे बरे
२)माझ्याकरिता नीतिमंदिराची दारे उघडा
मग आत जाऊन मी प्रभूला धन्यवाद देईन.
प्रभूकडे जायचे हे दार. यातून सज्जन प्रवेश करोत.
प्रभू तू माझे ऐकलेस, माझा उद्धारकर्ता झाला,
म्हणून मी तुला धन्यवाद देतो.
३) प्रभू आम्हांला वाचव प्रभू आमची भरभराट कर.
प्रभूचे नाम धारण करून येणारा धन्य आहे.
प्रभूसदनातून आम्ही तुम्हांला आशीर्वाद देतो.
प्रभू, परमेश्वर, आमचा प्रकाश आहे.

Blest is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Give praise to the Lord, for he is good;

येशूने आपल्या शिष्यांना म्हटले "मला प्रभुजी, प्रभुजी म्हणणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला स्वर्गराज्यात प्रवेश मिळेलच असे नाही. माझ्या स्वर्गीय पित्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे वागणाऱ्यांनाच केवळ स्वर्गराज्य मिळेल." "तेव्हा, हे माझे बोल ऐकून त्याप्रमाणे वागणारा प्रत्येकजण आपले घर एखाद्या खडकावर बांधणाऱ्या माणसासारखा शहाणा ठरेल. पाऊस कोसळला, पूर आला आणि सोसाट्याचा वारा त्या घरावर आदळला पण ते पडले नाही कारण ते खडकावर बांधलेले होते. तसेच माझे हे वचन ऐकून त्याप्रमाणे न वागणारा प्रत्येकजण आपले घर वाळूवर बांधणाऱ्या माणसासारखा मूर्ख ठरेल. पाऊस कोसळला, पूर आला आणि सोसाट्याचा वारा त्या घरावर आदळला तेव्हा ते पडले. अगदी कोसळून पडले.

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord', will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. "Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it."
