  “मी तुम्हांला सत्य सांगतो, जर कोणी माझे वचन पाळील त्याला मरणाचा अनुभव कधीही येणार नाही."

 "Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death."

पहिले वाचन :  उत्पत्ती १७:३-९

वाचक   उत्पत्ती या पुस्तकातून घेतलेले वाचन

"तू राष्ट्रसमुहाचा जनक होशील."

अब्राम उपडा पडला आणि देव त्याच्याशी बोलला; तो म्हणाला, “पाहा, तुझ्याशी माझा करार हा आहे- तू राष्ट्रसमुहाचा जनक होशील. यापुढे तुला अब्राम म्हणणार नाहीत, तुला आब्राहाम असे म्हणतील; कारण मी तुला राष्ट्रसमुहाचा जनक केले आहे. मी तुला अती फलसंपन्न करीन; तुझ्यापसून मी राष्ट्र निर्माण करीन, तुझ्यापासून राजे उत्पन्न होतील. मी तुझा व तुझ्यामागे तुझ्या संतानाचा देव राहीन, असा निरंतरचा करार मी तुझ्याशी आणि तुझ्या पश्चात तुझ्या संतानाशी पिढ्यान्पिढ्या करीन. ह्या ज्या कनान देशात तू उपरा आहेस, तो सगळा देश मी तुला व तुझ्या पश्चात तुझ्या संतानाला कायमचा वतन म्हणून देईन आणि मी त्यांचा देव राहीन."

देव आब्राहामला आणखी म्हणाला, "आता तू आणि तुझ्या पश्चात तुझ्या संततीने पिढ्यान्पिढ्या माझा करार पाळावा."

प्रभूचा शब्द आहे. 

सर्व : देवाला धन्यवाद.

First Reading :

Genesis 17:3-9

In those days: Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, "Behold,

my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you. And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you. And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God." And God said to Abraham, "As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations. bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.

This is the word of God

प्रतिसाद  १०५ : ४-९

प्रतिसाद :  प्रभू आपला करार सदा आठवतो

१) प्रभूचा व त्याच्या सामर्थ्याचा शोध करा; 

त्याच्या दर्शनासाठी सतत आतुर असा 

त्याची अद्भुत कृत्ये, 

त्याचे चमत्कार त्याच्या तोंडचे निर्णय आठवा.

२) त्याचा सेवक आब्राहाम याचे वंशजहो, 

त्याचे निवडलेले याकोबचे वंशजहो, 

तो प्रभू आमचा देव आहे;

 साऱ्या जगावर त्याचीच न्यायसत्ता चालते.

३) तो आपला करार सदा आठवतो, 

म्हणजे हजारे पिढयांसाठी दिलेले अभिवचन पाळतो; 

तो करार त्याने आब्राहामशी केला, 

तो पाळण्याची इसहाकजवळ शपथ घेतली.

 Psalm 105:4-9 

The Lord remembers his covenant forever. 

Turn to the Lord and his strength; 

constantly seek his face.

Remember the wonders he has done, 

his marvels and his words of judgment. R

O children of Abraham, his servant, 

O descendants of the Jacob he chose, 

he, the Lord, is our God; 

his judgments are in all the earth. R.

He remembers his covenant forever: 

the promise he ordained 

for a thousand generations, 

the covenant he made with Abraham,

 the oath he swore to Isaac. R.

आताच समय अनुकूल आहे. आजच तारणाचा दिवस आहे.

शुभवर्तमान योहान  ८:५१-५९

  'तुमचा बाप आब्राहाम माझा दिवस पाहण्यासाठी उल्हासित झाला. "

येशू यहुद्यांना म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हांला सत्य सांगतो, जर कोणी माझे वचन पाळील त्याला मरणाचा अनुभव कधीही येणार नाही." यहुदी त्याला म्हणाले, "तुम्हांला भूत लागले आहे हे आता आम्हांला कळले. आब्राहाम मेला संदेष्टेही मेले आणि तुम्ही म्हणता जर कोणी माझे वचन पाळील तर त्याला मरणाचा अनुभव कधीही येणार नाही. आमचा बाप आबाहाम मेला, त्याच्यापेक्षा तुम्ही मोठे आहा काय? संदेष्टेही मेले! तुम्ही स्वतःला काय समजता ?" येशूने उत्तर दिले, “मी माझे स्वतः चे गौरव केले तर ते माझे गौरव काहीच नाही; माझे गौरव करणारा माझा पिता आहे, तो आमचा देव आहे असे तुम्ही त्याच्याविषयी म्हणता तरी तुम्ही त्याला ओळखले नाही; मी त्याला ओळखतो आणि मी त्याला ओळखत नाही असे जर मी म्हणेन तर मी तुमच्यासारखा लबाड ठरेन; पण मी त्याला ओळखतो व त्याचे वचन पाळतो. तुमचा बाप आब्राहाम माझा दिवस पाहण्यासाठी उल्हासित झाला; तो त्याने पाहिला आणि त्याला हर्ष झाला." तेव्हा यहुदी त्याला म्हणाले, "तुम्हाला अजून पन्नास वर्षे झाली नाहीत आणि तुम्ही आब्राहामला पाहिले आहे काय ?" येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हांला खरे तेच सांगतो, आब्राहामचा जन्म झाला त्यापूर्वी मी आहे." ह्यावरून त्यांनी त्याला मारण्याकरता दगड उचलले; परंतु येशू मंदिरातून गुप्तपणे निघून गेला.

प्रभूचे हे शुभवर्तमान 

सर्व : हे ख्रिस्ता  तुझी स्तुती असो.

Gospel Reading:

John 8:51-59

At that time: Jesus said to the Jews, "Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death. Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?" Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God. But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad." So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am." So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

  This is the Gospel of the Lord

चिंतन: जो माझ्यामध्ये राहतो आणि मी ज्याच्यामध्ये राहतो तो विपुल प्रमाणात फळ देतो. असे प्रभू येशू म्हणतो. तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये राहा आणि मी तुम्हांमध्ये राहीन. ख्रिस्तामध्ये राहणे म्हणजे आपले अस्तित्व, जीवन आणि गती आहे. येशू यहुद्या बरोबर आपणा सर्वाना सांगतो, मी तुम्हाला सत्य सांगतो. जर कोणी माझे वचन पाळील त्याला मरणाचा अनुभव कधीही येणार नाही. प्रभू ख्रिस्ताने दिलेले हे वचन विश्वासाने स्वीकारून त्याप्रमाणे कृती केली तर निश्चितच आपण कृपासंपन्न होऊ. अब्राहामाने परमेश्वराचे वचन विश्वासाने ग्रहण केले म्हणून परमेश्वराने त्याचे नाव आब्राहाम म्हणजे राष्ट्र समूहांचा जनक असे केले. कारण परमेश्वर आपला करार नित्य आठवितो म्हणजे हजारो पिढ्यांसाठी दिलेले अभिवचन पाळतो.

प्रार्थना : प्रभू येशू, तुझी वचने म्हणजे आमचे जीवन आहे. तुझी वचने ! स्वीकारण्यास व ती जीवनात आचरणात आणण्यास प्रेरणा व कृपा कृपा दे
