२२ ऑक्टोबर
जगातील सर्व प्रकारच्या अनिष्ठ गोष्ठींचा आपल्या जीवनावर विपरित परिणाम होऊ नये, म्हणून प्रभू येशू आज आपल्याला जागृत राहण्यास सांगत आहे. देवाचे राज्य विफळ व्हावे म्हणून सैतान कार्यरत असतो, म्हणून आपण जागृत राहणे गरजेचे आहे. आपल्याला लाभलेले मानवी जीवन हे परमेश्वराचे दान आहे. सन्मार्गावर चालून देवाच्या गौरवासाठी आपण कार्यरत असावे, कारण आपल्या प्रत्येक कृतीचा योग्य असा हिशोब घेतला जाईल. म्हणूनच पवित्र व शुद्ध जीवन जगण्यासाठी जागृतीची आवश्यकता आहे. जगातील प्रलोभने व आव्हाने आपल्याला बहकवू शकतात म्हणूनच प्रार्थना, तप, मनन- चिंतन व आत्मपरिक्षण करणे महत्वाचे आहे.
आपले विचार. आपले बोलणे व आपली कृती परमेश्वराच्या वचनाप्रमाणे असावी. आपण सर्वदा जागृत राहून प्रेम, दया, शांति, ऐक्य व समेटाचे जीवन जगावे म्हणून जागृत राहू या.

पहिले वाचन :: इफिस २: १२-२२
वाचक : पोलाचे इफिसकरांस पत्र यातून घेतलेले वाचन.
आठवण करा कि, तुम्ही त्या वेळेस ख्रिस्त-विरहित, इसरायलच्या राष्ट्राबाहेरचे, वचनाच्या करारास परके,आशाहीन आणि देवाविरहित असे जगात होता . परंतु जे तुम्ही पूर्वी दूर होता ते तुम्ही आता ख्रिस्तयेशुच्याठायी खिस्ताच्या रक्ताद्वारे जवळचे झाला आहात. कारण तो आपली मूर्तिमंत शांती आहे. त्याने दोघांस एक केले आणि मधली आडभिंत पाडली . त्याने आपल्या देहाने वैर नाहीसे केले . हे वैर म्हणजे अज्ञविधीचे नियमशास्त्र, अशासाठी कि स्वतःच्या ठायी दोघांचा एक नवा मानव निर्माण करून त्याने शांती प्रस्थापित करावी,आणि त्यांचे एक शरीर करून आपण कुसावर वैरभाव जिवे मारून त्याच्याद्ठारे दोघांचा देवाशी समेट करावा; आणि त्याने येऊन जे तुम्ही दूर होता त्या तुम्हाला शांतीची सुवार्ता सांगितली, जे जवळ होते त्यांनाही शांतीची सुवार्ता सांगितली. कारण त्याच्याद्वारे आत्म्याच्या योगे आपणा उभयतांचा पित्याजवळ प्रवेश होतो .ह्यावरून तुम्ही आतापासून परके आणि उपरे नाही, पण पवित्र जनांच्या बरोबरीचे नागरिक आणि देवाच्या घरचे आहात . प्रेषित आणि संदेष्टे ह्या पायावर तुम्ही रचलेले आहात. स्वत खिस्त येशू मुख्य कोनशिला आहे . त्याच्यामध्ये सबंध इमारत जोडून रचली असता प्रभूच्या ठायी वाढत वाढत पवित्र मंदिर होते. प्रभूच्या ठायी तुम्हीही आत्म्याचे द्वारे देवाच्या वस्तीसाठी एकत्र रचले जात आहात .
First Reading :
Ephesians 2: 12-22
That you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the conversation of Israel, and strangers to the testament, having no hope of the promise, and without God in this world. But now in Christ Jesus, you, who some time were afar off, are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and breaking down the middle wall of partition, the enmities in his flesh: Making void the law of commandments contained in decrees; that he might make the two in himself into one new man, making peace; And might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, killing the enmities in himself. And coming, he preached peace to you that were afar off, and peace to them that were nigh. For by him we have access both in one Spirit to the Father. Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and the domestics of God, Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone: In whom all the building, being framed together, groweth up into an holy temple in the Lord. In whom you also are built together into an habitation of God in the Spirit.

प्रतिसाद : परमेश्वर आपल्या लोकांवरोवर शांतीबद्दल बोलेल.
१)परमेश्वर देव जे काय वोलेल ते मी ऐकून घेईन,
कारण तो शांतीवद्दल वोलेल .
खरोखर त्याचे भय धरणा-यांना
त्याने सिद्ध केलेले तारण समीप असते,
ह्यासाठी की आमच्या देशात वैभव नांदावे.
२)दया आणि सत्य यांचा संगम झाला आहे,
नीती आणि शांती यांचे मीलन झाले आहे .
पृथ्वीतून सत्य बाहेर पडत आहे .
स्वर्गातून नीतिमत््व अवलोकन करत आहे .
३)जे उत्तम ते परमेश्वर देईल
आणि आमची भूमी आपले फळ देईल
त्याच्यापुढे नीतिमत्त्व चालेल
आणि त्याची पावले इतरांना मार्गदर्शक होतील .
Psalms 85: 9ab-10, 11-12, 13-14
R. The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me:
for he will speak peace unto his people.
Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him:
that glory may dwell in our land.

Mercy and truth have met each other:
justice and peace have kissed.

शुभवर्तमान लूक १२:३५-३७
वाचक : लूकलिखित पवित्र शुभवर्तमानातून घेतलेले वाचन
येशू आपल्या शिष्यांस म्हणाला, “तुमच्या कंबरा बांधलेल्या आणि दिवे लावलेले असू द्या . धनी लग्नाहून येऊन दार ठोकील तेव्हा आपण त्याच्यासाठी तत्काळ उघडावे म्हणून,तो परत येण्याची वाट पाहत असलेल्या माणसांसारखे तुम्ही असा. धनी आल्यावर जे दास जागृत असलेले त्याला आढळतील ते धन्य. मी तुम्हास सत्य सांगतो की, तो आपली कंबर बांधून त्यांस जेवावयास बसवील आणि येऊन त्यांची सेवा करील. तो रात्रीच्या दुसऱ्या किवा तिस-या प्रहरी येईल तेव्हा जे त्याला असे आढळतील ते धन्य आहेत.
प्रभूचे हे शुभवर्तमान
सर्व : हे ख्रिस्ता तुझी स्तुती असो.
Gospel Reading : Luke 12: 35-38
Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands. And you yourselves like to men who wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and passing will minister unto them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

चिंतन: कृतीसाठी कपडे घालणे हे शुद्ध प्रेमातून व्यक्त केलेल्या प्रशंसनीय गोष्टीत कठोर परिश्रम करण्याची मनाची तयारी दर्शवते. दिवा मनाची जागृतता आणि शुद्ध व योग्य हेतूने व्यक्त केलेली बौद्धिक प्रसन्नता दर्शवते. आपण सर्वजण दैवी प्रेमाच्या ज्योतीने प्रज्वलित झालो आहोत. म्हणून आपण आपले दिवे प्रेम, शांती,स्वातंत्र्य आणि चांगुलपणाच्या कृतीने जळत, चमकणारे पाहिजेत.
प्रार्थना :हे प्रभू येशू, जीवनात सतत जागृत राहून तुला अनुसरण्यास व तुझ्या प्रेमळ सहवासाचा अनुभव घेण्यास आम्हास कृपा दे, आमेन
