St. Isidore, the Farmer

St. Isidore was born at Madrid, Spain, in the latter half of the 12th century. For the greater part of his life he was employed as a laborer on a farm outside the city. Many marvelous happenings accompanied his lifelong work in the fields and continued long after his holy death. He was favored with celestial visions and, it is said, the angels sometimes helped him in his work in the fields. St. Isidore died about the year 1130 and was canonized in 1622 by Pope Gregory XV.

Isidore’s wife, Maria Torribia, also called Maria de la Cabeza, who shared Isidore’s humble and laborious life, as well as his great care for the poor, is a Blessed whose feast is assigned to September 9.

PRAYER: Lord, all creation is Yours, and You call us to serve You by carrying for the gifts that surround us. May the example of St. Isidore urge us to share our food with the hungry and to work for the salvation of mankind. Amen.

  "मी तुम्हांस तुमची वाढ करावयास आणि तुम्हांला तुमचे वतन द्यावयास समर्थ असलेल्या प्रभूकडे सोपवतो."

पौलने इफिसच्या सभास्थानातील वडीलवर्गाला पुढील शब्दांनी उद्देशून म्हटले, "तुम्ही स्वतः कडे आणि ज्या कळपात पवित्र आत्म्याने तुम्हांला अध्यक्ष करून ठेवले त्या सर्वांकडे लक्ष द्या देवाची जी मंडळी त्याने आपल्या रक्ताने स्वतः करिता मिळवली तिचे पालन तुम्ही करावे. मी गेल्यावर कळपाची दयामाया न करणारे क्रूर लांडगे तुम्हांमध्ये शिरतील, हे मी जाणून आहे. तुम्हांपैकीही माणसे उठून शिष्यांना आपल्यामागे ओढून घेण्यासाठी विपरीत गोष्टी बोलतील. ह्यास्तव मी तीन वर्षे रात्रंदिवस अश्रू गाळीत प्रत्येकाला बोध करण्यास खंड पडू दिला नाही, ही आठवण ठेवून सावध राहा. आता मी तुम्हांला प्रभूकडे आणि त्याच्या वचनाकडे सोपवतो. तो तुमची वाढ करायला आणि पवित्र केलेल्या सर्व लोकांमध्ये वतन द्यायला समर्थ आहे. मी कोणाच्या सोन्याचा, रुप्याचा किंवा वस्त्रांचा लोभ धरला नाही. माझ्या आणि माझ्या सोबत्यांच्या गरजा भागवण्याकरता ह्याच हातांनी श्रम केले, हे तुम्ही स्वत: जाणून आहा. सर्व गोष्टींत मी तुम्हांला कित्ता घालून दाखवले आहे की, तसेच तुम्हीही श्रम करून दुर्बळांना सहाय्य करावे आणि “घेण्यापेक्षा देणे ह्यात जास्त धन्यता आहे." असे जे वचन प्रभू येशू स्वतः म्हणाला होता त्याची आठवण ठेवावी.

असे बोलल्यावर त्याने गुडघे टेकून त्या सर्वांबरोबर प्रार्थना केली. तेव्हा ते सर्व फार रडले आणि त्यांनी पौलच्या गळ्यात गळा घालून त्याचे पुष्कळ मुके घेतले. "माझे तोंड तुमच्या दृष्टीस ह्यापुढे पडणार नाही," असे जे त्याने म्हटले होते त्यावरून त्यांना विशेष दुःख झाले. मग त्यांनी त्याला तारवापर्यंत पोहचवले.

प्रभूचा शब्द आहे

First Reading :

Acts 20:28-38

 In those days: Paul said to the elders of the Church of Ephesus, "Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears. And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified. I coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel. You yourselves know that these hands ministered to my necessities, and to those who were with me. In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive." And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him, being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.

प्रतिसाद : पृथ्वीवरील राष्ट्रांनो, तुम्ही देवाचे गीत गा. 

१) तू प्रबळ व्हावे असे तुझ्या देवाने आज्ञापिले आहे. 

हे देवा, तू आम्हांसाठी जे केले आहे 

ते दृढ कर येरुशलेमातील तुझ्या मंदिराकरिता 

राजे तुला भेटी आणतील.

२) पृथ्वीवरील राष्ट्रांनो, तुम्ही देवाचे गीत गा 

प्रभूची स्तोत्रे गा.

पुरातन आकाशांच्या आकाशावर 

आरूढ होऊन जो स्वारी करतो,

 त्याची स्तोत्रे गा. पाहा, तो आपला शब्द, 

सामर्थ्याचा शब्द उच्चारतो.

देवाच्या बलाचे वर्णन करा.

३) इस्राएलवर त्याचे ऐश्वर्य आणि गगनमंडळात

त्याचे बल आहे. तुझ्या पवित्र स्थानातून कार्य करणारा देव

भयप्रद आहे.इस्राएलचा देव आपल्या लोकांना 

बल आणि सामर्थ्य देतो.देवाचा धन्यवाद होवो।

Psalm 68:29-30, 33-35a, 35b and 36d

You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God.

Summon forth your might, O God; 

your might, O God, which you

 have shown for us. 

From your temple high in Jerusalem, 

kings will come to you bringing their tribute. R

You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God, 

praise the Lord who rides on the heavens,

the ancient heavens.

Behold, he thunders his voice,

his mighty voice.

Come, acknowledge the power of God. R

His glory is on Israel; his might is in the skies.

Awesome is God in his holy place.

He is God, the God of Israel.

येशूने स्वर्गाकडे दृष्टी लावून म्हटले, "हे पवित्र बापा, तू मला दिलेल्या तुझ्या नावात त्यांना राख, जसे आपण एक आहो तसे त्यांनी एक व्हावे. जोपर्यंत मी त्यांच्याबरोबर होतो तोपर्यंत तू मला दिलेल्या तुझ्या नावात मी त्यांना राखले. मी त्यांचा सांभाळ केला आणि नाशाच्या पुत्राशिवाय कोणाचा नाश झाला नाही; शास्त्रलेख पूर्ण व्हावा म्हणून असे झाले. पण आता मी तुझ्याकडे येत आहे आणि माझा आनंद त्यांच्याठायी परिपूर्ण व्हावा म्हणून मी जगात ह्या गोष्टी बोलतो. मी त्यांना तुझे वचन दिले आहे; जगाने त्यांचा द्वेष केला, कारण जसा मी जगाचा नाही तसे तेही जगाचे नाहीत. तू त्यांना जगातून काढून घ्यावे अशी मी विनंती करीत नाही, तर तू त्यांना वाइटापासून राखावे अशी विनंती करतो. जसा मी जगाचा नाही तसे तेही जगाचे नाहीत. तू त्यांना सत्यात समर्पित कर; तुझे वचन हेच सत्य आहे. जसे तू मला जगात पाठवले तसे मीही त्यांना जगात पाठवले आणि त्यांनीही सत्यात समर्पित व्हावे म्हणून मी त्यांच्याकरिता स्वतःला समर्पित करतो."

सर्व : हे ख्रिस्ता  तुझी स्तुती असो.

Gospel Reading:John 17:11b-19

At that time: [Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven and prayed, saying.) "Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.

 This is the Gospel of the Lord

चिंतन: आजच्या शुभवर्तमानात प्रभू येशू आपल्या शिष्यांसाठी परमेश्वर पित्याकडे प्रार्थना करतो. कारण ते पित्याचे होते आणि जे येशूचे आहेत ते सर्व पित्याचे आहेत व पित्याचे ते येशूचे आहेत. तसेच त्यांच्यामध्ये येशूचा गौरव झाला आहे. येशू त्यांना सांगतो की, तो आता जगात नाही तर शिष्यांत आहे. ज्याप्रमाणे पिता आणि येशू एक आहेत तशाचप्रकारे ते देखिल एक व्हावेत. जे शिष्य पित्याने त्याला दिले त्यांचे त्याने रक्षण केले. जेणेकरून शिष्यांचा आनंद पूर्ण व्हावा. तसेच त्यांनी नेहमी सत्याच्या प्रकाशात जगात चालत राहावे आणि सर्व वाईटांपासून त्यांचे संरक्षण व्हावे म्हणून तो त्यांच्यासाठी परमेश्वराकडे प्रार्थना करतो. ख्रिस्ती या नात्याने इतरांशी एक कुटुंब म्हणून राहण्यासाठी आपण कोणते प्रयत्न करतो ? या जगात सत्याच्या बाजूने लढण्यासाठी स्वतःला सत्यात समर्पित करतो का ?

प्रार्थना : हे प्रभू येशू, सर्व प्रकारच्या वाईटांपासून आमचे रक्षण कर व तुझ्या ।सुवार्तेचे साधन बनव, . आमेन.

                    पवित्र आत्म्याचा नोव्हेना प्रार्थना

हे माझ्या परमेश्वरा । पवित्र आत्म्या आम्ही तुला नमन करतो, आम्ही तुझ्याशिवाय काहीही करू शकत नाहीत, । हे तुझ्या दैवी उपस्थितीत आम्ही मान्य करतो हे पवित्र आत्म्या । महान कैवारी, तू गरीबांचा पिता आहेस. तू उत्कृष्ट सांत्वनकर्ता आहेस आमचा तारणारा प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्त । ह्याने आश्वासन दिले होते की मी तुम्हास अनाथ असे सोडणार नाही हे पवित्र आत्म्या आम्ही परमेश्वराच्या प्रेमास अपात्र आहोत । तू प्रभू येशूची आई मरिया व पहिल्या शिष्यांवर पेन्टेकॉस्टच्या दिवशी अवतरलास । व त्यांना तुझ्या दानांनी भरलेस! हे पवित्र आत्म्या त्याच दयेने व दानशूरतेने । त्या दानांचा आम्हावर वर्षाव कर आमच्या अंतःकरणात तुला पसंत नसलेले असे सर्व नष्ट कर व त्यात येऊन तू वस्ती कर आमच्या शाश्वत चांगुलपणासाठी असलेल्या गोष्टी आम्हाला स्पष्ट दिसाव्यात व समजाव्यात म्हणून आमचे मन तुझ्या दैवी प्रकाशाने । उल्हसित कर. हे पवित्र आत्म्या । आमचे अंत:करण । तुझ्या शुध्द प्रेमाने भर । विविध बंधनात जखडून ठेवणाऱ्या आसक्ती आमच्या हृदयातून काढून टाक आम्हाला प्रभू येशूच्या प्रेमाने भर । परमेश्वरी इच्छेला आमच्या जीवनात प्राधान्य असावे । म्हणून पवित्र आशा-आकांक्षांनी जगण्यास आम्हाला प्रेरणा दे । नम्रता, विरक्ती, आज्ञाधारकपणा व ऐहिक जगाच्या मोहापासून दूर राहण्याचा प्रभू येशूने घालून दिलेला आदर्श आमच्या जीवनात व कृतीत उतरविण्यास आम्हाला कृपा दे. । आमेन!
