योएल संदेष्टा देवाचे वचन सांगताना म्हणत आहे की, 'देव कृपाळू, कनवाळू, मंदक्रोध व दयासागर आहे.' परमेश्वराचे वचन ऐकून तो पाळणाऱ्या सर्वांवर तो अपार कृपा व दया करीत असतो.
ख्रिस्ती श्रध्देचा पाया परमेश्वराच्या वचनांवर उभारलेला आहे. आपले अस्तित्व, आपले जीवन आणि आपल्या जीवनातील सर्व घडामोडींवर परमेश्वराचे अधिराज्य आहे. परमेश्वराच्या इच्छेवाचून कोणतीच घटना आपल्या जीवनात घडत नाही. म्हणूनच परमेश्वराचा शब्द, त्याचे वचन आपल्या जीवनात अग्रस्थानी असायला हवे. प्रभू येशू ख्रिस्ताने आपल्याला सार्वकालिक जीवन देणारी वचने दिली आहेत. आपण वचने ऐकतो पण किती प्रमाणात ग्रहण करून त्याप्रमाणे आचरण करतो ह्यावर आज चिंतन करु या.

"विळा चालवा, पीक तयार आहे."
परमेश्वर म्हणतो: राष्ट्र उठावणी करून यहोशाफाटच्या खोऱ्यात येवोत, तेथे मी न्यायासनावर बसून सभोवतालच्या सर्व राष्ट्रांचा न्याय करणार आहे. विळा चालवा, पीक तयार आहे. या, चला, उतरा, द्राक्षाचा घाणा भरला आहे. कुंडे भरून वाहत आहेत, कारण लोकांचा दुष्टपणा फार आहे. लोकांच्या झुंडी, निर्णयाच्या खोऱ्यात लोकांच्या झुंडी आहेत. कारण निर्णयाच्या खोऱ्यात परमेश्वराचा दिवस येऊन ठेपला आहे.सूर्य आणि चंद्र काळे पडले आहेत, तारे निस्तेज झाले आहेत. परमेश्वर सियोनातून गर्जना करतो, येरुशलेममधून आपला शब्द ऐकवतो, आकाश आणि पृथ्वी थरथर कापत आहेत. तरी परमेश्वर आपल्या लोकांचा आश्रय आहे, इस्राएल लोकांचा दुर्ग आहे. सियोनवर, माझ्या पवित्र डोंगरावर राहणारा परमेश्वर तुमचा देव मी आहे हे तुम्हांस कळेल. तेव्हा येरुशलेम पवित्र स्थळ होईल, यापुढे परके त्यातून येणार जाणार नाहीत. त्या काळी असे होईल की पर्वतावरून नवा द्राक्षरस पाझरेल, टेकड्यावरून दूध स्त्रवेल. आणि यहुदाचे सर्व ओहोळ पाण्याने भरून वाहतील, परमेश्वराच्या मंदिरातून झरा निघेल तो शिल्टिमच्या खोऱ्याला पाणी पुरवील.
इजिप्त देश उजाड होईल आणि अदोम वैराण होईल, कारण त्यांनी आपल्या देशात निर्दोष रक्त पाडून यहुदाच्या वंशजांवर अत्याचार केला. यहुदा तर सर्वकाळ लोकांचे वसतिस्थान होईल आणि येरुशलेम पिढ्यान्पिढ्या समृद्ध राहील. त्याच्या रक्ताचा मी सूड घेईन, अपराध्यांना मी दोषमुक्त ठरवणार नाही, कारण परमेश्वर सियोनेत निवास करतो.

Thus says the Lord: Let the nations stir themselves up and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; for there I will sit to judge all the surround nations. Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the wine press is ful The vats overflow, for their evil is great. Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining. The Lord roars from Sion, and utters his voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge to his people, a stronghold to the people of Israel. "So you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who dwells in Sion, my holy mountain. And Jerusalem shall be holy, and strangers shall never again pass through it. And in that day the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the stream beds of Judah shall flow with water; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the Lord and water the Valley of Shittim. Egypt shall become a desolation and Edom a desolate wilderness for the violence done to the people of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. But Judah shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all generations. I will avenge their blood, blood I have not avenged, for the Lord dwells in Sion."

१) परमेश्वर राज्य करतो, पृथ्वी उल्हास करो,
द्वीपसमूह हर्ष करो.ढग आणि अंधार त्याच्यासभोवती आहेत,
नीती आणि न्याय त्याच्या राजासनाचा आधार आहेत.
२) परमेश्वरासमोर, सर्व पृथ्वीच्या
प्रभूसमोर पर्वत मेणाप्रमाणे वितळले.
आकाशाने त्याची नीती प्रकट केली,
सर्व लोकांनी त्याचे गौरव पाहिले.
३) नीतिमानांसाठी प्रकाश आणि जे सरळ अंत:करणाचे आहेत
